30 000 pageviews and a new lense

After little more than three years this gallery has reached the landmark of 30 000 pageviews. Just for memory´s sake: there are 939 watchers now and the 857 deviations have been viewed 269 000 times. I always experience these figures in a double way: first as quite unbelievable and second as an enormous boost for my photographic activities. And it is you all who have given me and are giving me this most valuable support. Especially in my darker periods I appreciate it all the more that many of you think so kindly of me. So let me use this opportunity once again to thank you all very much indeed. All praise to you all!

The second great news is the new lense. It is again a Nikkor 18-200 mm lense, as I had been very happy with it before I banged my first one accidentally against that pole. At the moment I do not know how much the insurance will pay. So there is happiness about the lense and a certain uneasiness about the financial picture.

But fortunately that does not take away from the pleasure of being able to use my Nikon D80 again. I just submitted the first shots from our trip along the River Maas, taken yesterday on our way back from the shop near Nijmegen where I bought the lense as it was a lot cheaper there than here at and around Hilversum.
