A wonderful old beech-tree lane at Gulpen in the province of Limburg in the very south of the Netherlands. I discovered it last Sunday when I still did not know about the new diagnosis (cf. today's journal on "New tumors").

Now I find that this picture fits my present mood very well. The trees may appear threatening in their darkness, but there is light above and ahead.
