Artist's Comments

It was a fresh morning with marvellous light when I went off with the bike early on this Christmas Day. At the Hilversum Canal, the sun had not yet reached the ground level. So the scene had a mysterious aspect to it, soon to be lit by the rising sun.

Nice view...the fluffy cloud is cool.

Yes, I love that cloud, too!

The cloud reflected upon the still water is indeed so very nice. Looks like the sort of place that you wouldn't meet many others so can enjoy your special time embracing nature totally alone. Lovely capture ... thank you so much for sharing. :D :rose:

A Christmas morning offers the chance to be on your own in nature even here in over-crowded Holland.
Great that you like this pic so much.

Bet you thought this view was a wonderful Christmas present for you! Lovely sight :)
:iconjchanders:
It certainly was. Two marvellous days at Christmas! Perhaps a strange way to spend a Christmas morning, cycling around and shooting lots and lots of shots. But I enjoyed it and then enjoyed the family again!
:iconsonrisador:
sounds like a pretty wonderful Christmas day to me :)
:iconjchanders:
Yes, it was, but not everybody will think so, I suppose!
