We met this mare last year in Normandy, grazing on a large meagre meadow with other horses, but staying apart from the rest.
When we approached the fence, the other horses bit her off. The only way of showing some kindness to her was splitting up and at least temporarily be able to find a place among the thorns where we could say some nice words to her and give her some of the fresh green grass that did not grow in their meadow, but at the side of little country-road. She grave us the impression of a great, yet suffering gentleness. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
