Artist's Comments

Yes, this morning I had my first morning trip with the new camera, starting on my bike at 6.15 am. The grounds of the country-house of Groeneveld near Baarn proved to be a good choice on this wonderfully misty morning.

Beautiful shot! I love that tree in the fog :wow: Actually I admire what you did, 'cause I'm such a late riser, I don't think anyone could take me out of bed in the early morning if it wasn't a must

Nice pic Jürgen. Just one advice: it seems that the light conditions were good because you shot at a speed of 1/600. In this case, you might want to set the camera to a smaller aperture like f/8 or f/11 to get more detail and depth of field. An easy way to work this way is to shoot in Aperture priority mode (A in Nikon). You choose a small or big aperture depending on the depth of field or detail you want to get, and, as long as the speed value is ok, keep it that way. I hope you don´t mind my little advice.

Gorgeous shot, I love the shape of that tree! It looks almost as if it slipped out of a japanese landscape when nobody was looking. :+fav:

Remember that there is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving. Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug.

Yes, I sometimes do wake up so early. And then I just use the opportunities at hand! No sense in lying in bed more or less awake.

Thanks a lot! Yes, I know from the old cam about the aperture and speed. At the moment I am just starting into using the possibilities of the Nikon. So I put on the automatic landscape position and did not interfere with anything else. I just have to find out first what all the buttons etc mean. But before getting frustrated about them, I just started "speaking with three words", if you understand what I mean. More "words" will be added from day to day.
