You have seen this old crooked beech-tree before. Seeing him again today on my first visit to the grounds of the country-house Groeneveld near Baarn since I left the hospital three weeks ago (not by bike yet though, but by car), I just had to take a picture of the old guy!

He is such a wonderful symbol of survival in spite of all adversity!

Man, I like trees like this one. They just seem to have a personality, and a sort of sentient presence to them, as if they were old matriarch elephants. Silly, I know. XD But that's how it always seems.
